YIIRI ACCIDENT PROTOCOL
REPORT AN ACCIDENT, SAFETY INCIDENT, OR CITATION
Call 911 for emergencies.
To report an accident, safety, or citation problem, to get connected with our critical response team, call 1(833)469-4474.
Our critical response team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will call you as soon as possible after you request the call.

ACCIDENTS, CITATIONS, AND EMERGENCY SITUATIONS
If you experience an accident (this means an issue that threatens your personal safety) or receive a citation, take the appropriate steps to protect yourself and get to a safe place as needed or tap the SOS button to get connected to 911 operators. Then call our Critical Response Hotline 1(833)469-4474. We’re available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
YIIRI should not be used as a substitute for emergency transportation. If you experience an emergency situation, dial 911 on your local non-emergency assistance line if appropriate. If you encounter a passenger with an emergency situation, they should contact 911. After that, contact our critical response line so we can take appropriate action.
To make sure your driver rating isn’t affected by an emergency situation, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
If a passenger causes damage to your vehicle for any reason, contact us so they can be charged a damage fee depending on the extent of the damage.
HOW TO REPORT DAMAGE CAUSED BY PASSENGERS
For safety-related issues, use Yiiri’s Critical Response Hotline. For non-safety related issues or damage, see ‘Non-safety incidents.

NON-SAFETY INCIDENTS & DAMAGE
To report damage, tap ‘Contact Support’ at firstname.lastname@example.org with the following info:
- At least 2 clear photos of the damage (see photo tips)
- Any identifying info about the passenger (the first name works best, but pick-up and drop-off locations and times are also helpful)
- A brief description of how the incident occurred
We’ll assess the damage after you’ve submitted this. If the damage warrants a fee, we’ll be in touch.
If the damage requires significant cleaning or repair and prevents you giving Yiiri rides, wait until your car is up to speed before driving.
Check your car regularly after a ride is completed to check for passenger damage. If you find passenger damage, remember these tips:
- Take a photo with your phone to record the time and date of the incident
- Turn on the car’s interior light to make sure pictures are clear
- Use your phone’s flash when taking pictures
Note: Yiiri determines the damage fee amount, which is meant to help drivers repair, re-mediate, or clean affected areas of their vehicle only. We handle damage reports on a case-by-case basis. Damage fees come entirely from passengers.
For roadside services, we are in the process of adding a roadside feature to our app. In the meantime driver can use their insurance roadside assistance providers for;
- Dead battery
- Flat tire
